'Leave Messi Alone, Thief'-PSG Chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi Insulted by Barcelona Supporters on His Arrival at the City

The relationship between the management of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain is not the best at the moment and it seems that this level of distaste has reached the Catalan supporters too, as a few of them shouting out insults and abuse at PSG chairman, Nasser Al-Khelaifi on his arrival at the Catalan city on Monday.

Al-Khelaifi was very instrumental in convincing Neymar to leave Barcelona for PSG in 2017 and that did not go down too well with the Catalan management and their supporters. Now with the French giants again being linked with the club’s greatest ever player in Lionel Messi, some fans took the opportunity to express what they felt.

“Leave Messi alone, thief!” one fan could be heard shouting in the footage captured by Gol TV’s ‘El Golazo’ programme, while another shouted, “Son of a b**ch!””.

“Give me one million euros,” added another who was waiting outside the PSG team hotel.

The Catalan supporters know that Messi was unhappy with the way the club was being run by the former president, Josep Maria Bartomeu and are aware that they could lose the Argentinian for free in the summer, if he does decide to not renew his contract and move to greener pastures.
