Lionel Messi Reaches Two More Milestones After Scoring for Barcelona in Their 4-1 Loss to PSG in Champions League

Argentina and Barcelona talisman, Lionel Messi is widely considered to be the greatest player in the history of football, with the striker creating/breaking numerous records during his career so far, including winning a record six Ballon d’Or awards.

Messi was at it again during Barcelona’s 4-1 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League on Tuesday, scoring in the 27th minute courtesy of a penalty to give the Catalans the lead on the night.

While Barcelona struggled on the night, Messi was still able to achieve two more milestones in his illustrious career, with the striker becoming the only Blaugrana player to score at least 20 times in all competitions for the 13th season in a row.

The other record has to do with the Champions League as he matched Real Madrid legend, Raul Gonzalez becoming only the second player to score a goal in the continental competition for the 17th straight calendar year

Unfortunately for the Argentinian, it was not a night to remember for him as his side once again put on a poor performance in Europe and it will be upto him once again to bail his club from their predicament and put on a match-winning turn in the second leg.
